Job Overview Bee Sweet Citrus is seeking a motivated student who is currently pursuing a degree in Agricultural Mechanics (or related degrees) to join our Farm Mechanics Team.
This internship provides hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing farm equipment such as vehicles, tractors, and sprayers.
Interns are expected to work at least 20 hours per week over a three-month period; however, this internship may be extended based on your 90-day evaluation.
Operate company vehicles and farm equipment safely under supervision Always work in a safe manner following all established safety rules and regulations including Company’s Fleet Safety Program Required Skills/Abilities Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred Must have a clean driving record Must be able to follow our Fleet Safety Program and Policies Knowledge of basic computer skills Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team setting Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Physical Requirements Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations Must be able to bend, and stoop, including the need to move and lift heavy objects Must be able to work both inside and outside conditions, frequent exposure to heat, cold, adverse weather, greases, oils, noise, chemicals and work in and around moving vehicles Must be able to climb, reach/stretch arms legs or other parts of the body to grasp objects Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment and machinery including computers, calculators, copiers, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, etc.
