Fiber Engineer

Job Title: Fiber Engineer
Location: Doral, FL - Hybrid

Role Overview:

• Join our team as a Fiber Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in designing and managing fiber networks. This hybrid position allows you to work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with office days from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and map fiber routes for backbone and lateral connections.
• Collaborate with construction teams to assign fiber for projects.
• Manage purchase orders and vendor payments.
• Ensure compliance with change management and field activity policies.
• Oversee project closeouts and approve vendor invoices.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency response.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in fiber engineering or construction management.
• Familiarity with Outside Plant Construction techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and safety standards.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
