Mission

Create a memorable HopCat experience by providing genuine hospitality, accurate service, confident menu guidance, and attentive follow-through from the first greeting through the guest's departure.

What Success Looks Like

• Welcome every table promptly and use genuine conversation to learn what brings guests in.
• Enter orders accurately, communicate modifications and allergy concerns, and confirm the guest receives exactly what was ordered.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of HopCat's food, beverage, promotional, and rewards offerings within the required training period.
• Maintain timely table touches, beverage refills, pre-bussing, and payment processing throughout every assigned shift.
• Support accurate pacing by communicating with the Front Desk, bar, Food Runners, kitchen, and managers.
• Protect the guest experience by identifying concerns early and involving a manager when additional recovery is needed.
• Complete opening, running, closing, cleaning, cash-handling, and side-work responsibilities accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them promptly.
• Offer knowledgeable recommendations and identify opportunities to enhance the guest's experience.
• Follow responsible alcohol-service and identification-verification requirements.
• Deliver beverages and support food delivery when needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized tables and service areas.
• Handle payments, discounts, and cash according to policy.
• Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous serving or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn menu ingredients, modifications, allergens, beer, cocktails, and restaurant systems.
• Must meet applicable alcohol-service requirements.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and move throughout the shift.
• Safely carry trays, plates, glassware, and items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Work in a busy environment with changing noise levels and temperatures.
