Role Overview

Facilitate software development efforts, document critical business processes, and analyze business functions for efficiency opportunities. Serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting development, maintenance, and system re-engineering for applications managing complex financial business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a developer, facilitator and subject matter expert for applications and services dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented.

• Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging, and production environments.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues with troubleshooting tools and techniques as well as teamwork.

• Work with the team toward continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborate with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation.

• Work in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards.

• Develop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a lead developer or development manager.

• 5+ years of broad experience working with development technologies, including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases or similar relational databases.

• Strong proficiency in relational database terminology, concepts, and SQL.

• Proven background in the development and maintenance of software systems handling complex financial business processes.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.

• Strong track record of guiding development teams, supporting continuous improvement, and applying sound quality assurance practices.

• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder-facing communication skills.

• Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET

• Object-Relational Mappings (ORMs), Entity Framework, and NHibernate

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
