The Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for affiliate faculty teaching positions. We are seeking part-time, Social Work Affiliate Instructors for Content Areas of Research, Legal, and Policy across the curriculum as they relate to Social Work. All affiliate faculty in the department of social work will work with a Lead Faculty and participate in a content teaching team. When affiliate faculty are needed, they should expect to teach one to two courses each semester, the maximum any Affiliate Faculty can teach is three courses per semester. MSU Denver faculty have expertise in culturally responsive practice that is relationally based. We are actively interrogating and revising our curriculum to reflect anti-oppressive practices while educating our students for the provision of effective clinical social work services with diverse communities in micro, mezzo and macro settings serving vulnerable and underserved populations. Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy. Rate of pay per credit hour assignment can be between $1233 - $1512. For more information, you may view pay rates here: Affiliate Rates.
