Keep Communities Moving. Your Expertise Can Shape the Future of Mobility.

At Yunex Traffic, every signal you install, repair, or maintain makes a real difference. You’re not just working on equipment, you’re shaping how people get home safely, how emergency vehicles respond quickly, and how communities stay connected.

We are a global leader in intelligent traffic solutions, and we’re inviting experienced Traffic Signal Technicians to help us create and sustain innovation that keeps cities moving safely and efficiently. If you take pride in your craft, value reliability, and want to be part of something that truly matters, this is your opportunity to build a career you’re proud of.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Traffic Signal Technician, you’ll have a hands-on role in keeping traffic systems safe, reliable, and running at peak performance. Your rewarding work will include:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining traffic signal and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Servicing traffic signal and fiber optic equipment by inspecting, testing, splicing, and replacing faulty components such as LED modules, electronic traffic components, cables, loop detectors, switches, and fixtures.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing CCTV systems, Microwave Vehicle Detection Systems (MVDS), and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS).
  • Responding promptly to urgent traffic signal malfunctions, including directing traffic and performing on-site repairs as needed.

A successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge of traffic signals, controllers, detection systems, and ITS equipment
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude, including wiring, cabling, and equipment installation
  • Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing circuits, communications, and signal malfunctions
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment, such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, splicing tools, and hand/power tools
  • Ability to read plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with your crew mates and members of management
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A safety-first mindset
  • Adaptability to work independently and as a part of a field crew

Why Join Yunex Traffic?

  • Competitive Pay: $30–$37 per hour – higher than most city and county roles for similar positions.
  • Sign-On Bonus if you are hired and start on or before January 26, 2026
  • Comprehensive Benefits:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage through BCBSTX
  • Company-paid disability and life insurance
  • Employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 10 Company paid holidays
  • Work with cutting-edge ITS technology and be part of a global leader in traffic management solutions.
  • Impactful Work: Help make roads safer, communities more livable, and mobility more sustainable.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • IMSA Level II or III Certification is highly preferred
  • IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification or equivalent is highly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing at heights over 15 feet to access traffic signal equipment and related infrastructure.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds of tools, equipment, and materials as part of installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Requires manual dexterity for handling small components and wiring in confined spaces.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, and drive for extended periods; occasional riding as a passenger to job sites.
  • Ability to distinguish the range of color spectrum
  • Comfortable working at heights on ladders, poles, or elevated platforms when installing or repairing signal equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Exposure to traffic hazards and noise while working near active roadways; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
  • May require night, weekend, or emergency call-out work to respond to urgent signal malfunctions.
  • Frequent travel between job sites within assigned region; occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
