Summary:
-
Fabricates and assembles avionics LRUs, harnesses, and integrates them on vehicle.
-
Constructs avionics components including wire harnesses, data acquisition units (DAU), and sensors.

Performs electrical system assembly including wire harness fabrication, splicing, crimping, and soldering.

Utilizes shop tools and machinery such as multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers, and cutters.

Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and models (paper or digital) to follow work instructions.

Adheres to IPC-A-620 standards for wire harness and avionics assembly.

Tests aircraft systems and components including flight controls and electrical systems.

Assists in installation, design, development, and testing of parts and technologies for aircraft or space exploration.

Maintains focus on quality and efficiency, troubleshooting and providing guidance in troubleshooting processes.

Applies lean manufacturing philosophies and uses manufacturing-based ERP systems to follow work instructions.
Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of four years of experience as a technician in aerospace or manufacturing industry.

Experience with aircraft wire harness fabrication and installation.

Understanding of IPC-A-620 standards (certification is a plus).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and models.

Demonstrated ability to use computer applications and manufacturing-based ERP systems to follow work instructions.

Ability to lead projects and provide technical training or guidance.

Knowledge of safety practices, FOD prevention, and proper handling of hazardous materials.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
