Job description :Senior Backend EngineerLocation :United States (Remote)Full-Time Direct HireAbout the CompanyWe are transforming how businesses interact with customers through intelligent voice AI solutions that automate, engage, and scale conversations.Our platform delivers real-time, lifelike voice interactions tailored to diverse use cases and is trusted by millions of users across industries.Backed by leading investors, we are rapidly scaling and on track to power billions of voice interactions worldwide.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems that support AI-powered voice technologies.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, system design, and cloud infrastructure, with a passion for creating reliable and high-performance applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain scalable, low-latency backend systems for AI / voice applications.Design and implement REST / gRPC APIs and microservices architectures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML and voice technologies.Ensure system reliability through testing, monitoring, and CI / CD best practices.Contribute to infrastructure design and optimization across cloud environments.Qualifications :Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).Experience designing and operating distributed backend systems.Knowledge of system design principles, asynchronous / event-driven architectures, and queuing systems.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure-as-code practices.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, product-focused environment.Preferred (Nice-to-Have)Exposure to voice or LLM-enabled systems (STT, TTS, WebRTC, Twilio, LiveKit).Familiarity with ML pipeline orchestration and inference workflows.Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Pulumi).Collaboration experience with ML engineers for deployment and observability.Why is This a Great Opportunity :Why Join Us?Be part of a fast-scaling team building cutting-edge AI solutions.Work on products that impact millions of users globally.Fully remote opportunity with a collaborative culture.Our client is a fast-growing AI technology company that is revolutionizing customer interactions through advanced voice automation.Trusted by millions of users, they are backed by top-tier investors and are rapidly scaling across industries with cutting-edge solutions.Partnered with a venture-backed startup on a mission to redefine voice-powered communication, they are building scalable solutions that combine AI, voice, and automation to serve global enterprises.Salary Type :Annual SalarySalary Min :$ 130000Salary Max :$ 210000Currency Type :USD.
