Supervisor- Environmental Services

Summary:
Supports the operation of the physical plant of hospital and supervises environmental staff. Assigns responsibility for the Environmental Services department during night shifts, and during the weekend.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
-High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience & Training Required:
-One year housekeeping experience, service industry experience (e.g., fast food, retail, hospitality), or combination that has provided skill in customer service and leadership.
-Must attain Housekeeping Certification within first year of employment at Summa Health and maintain membership in International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA).

-Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
-Recognizes need for and utilizes infection control principles
-Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures

-Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus
-Understanding of team building skills
-Ability to manage with a proactive approach
Level of Physical Demands:
-Ability to walk extensively, frequent bending, lifting, and climbing of ladders etc

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
