We Are a Team & Family

At KIPP, we see the potential in every scholar who walks through our doors, and it often begins with the connection made by our student recruiters. Their energy. Passion. Drive. Their unwavering commitment to finding and welcoming families who believe in our mission. That’s why we support our recruitment team as essential ambassadors of our work. It starts with respect, respect for their relationship-building skills, their creativity, their work in the community, and the meaningful role they play in shaping our schools.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE TEACHING SPECIAL EDUCATION AT KIPP

You’ll Teach in a Community That Lives Its Values

At KIPP Tulsa, our Special Education teachers are part of a team deeply committed to shared values. We don’t just teach in classrooms, we build bridges across communities. We collaborate with families, support colleagues, and celebrate student growth at every stage. Like a family, we support one another, act with empathy, and establish strong, trusting relationships with every scholar we serve.

You’ll Be a Champion of Possibility

As a Special Education teacher, you’ll help unlock doors to life-changing opportunities. You’ll play a vital role in a national network of over 278 KIPP schools, extending your impact far beyond the walls of your classroom. Each individualized lesson, intervention, and conversation with a scholar plants a seed of confidence—fueling hope, inspiring achievement, and creating pathways to academic and personal success.

You’ll Be Empowered and Valued

We know the impact our Special Education teachers have on the future of KIPP Tulsa. That’s why we offer competitive compensation, resources for innovation, and opportunities to grow your skills and leadership. You’ll be supported with instructional tools, collaborative planning time, and a culture that values your voice and your vision.

You’ll Grow as a Leader

At KIPP, we believe in developing talent at every level. As a Special Education teacher, you’ll receive ongoing coaching, professional development, and feedback to refine your practice and strengthen your impact. Whether you’re designing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), leading a small group intervention, or partnering with general education teachers, we’re here to support your growth and amplify your strengths.

You’ll Create Joyful Learning Experiences

As a KIPP Tulsa Special Education teacher, you’ll help students imagine a brighter future. From celebrating progress on academic goals to nurturing social-emotional growth, you’ll create joyful learning moments that matter, moments that set the tone for a scholar’s entire educational journey and build lasting connections with the families we serve.
