Summary:
-
Analyzes engineering drawings, models, specifications, processes, policies, and procedures to determine and plan manufacturing operations and sequences.

Creates comprehensive work instructions and supporting documentation for one or more plan groups including machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB, or coatings.

Applies knowledge of shop theory and practice, tooling and manufacturing methods, processes, and sequences for applicable plan groups.

Collaborates with designers and production engineers by interpreting and advising on engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements.

Performs liaison between Engineering, Planning, Tool Design, Tool Shops, and Production to ensure conformance between shop-fabrication sequences and planning instructions.

Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and other applicable references.

Uses computer applications including SAP, MS Office, CAPP or SFM, and model-based engineering systems including Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, and 3DX.

Understands Engineering Bill Of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing Bill Of Materials (MBOM), and Order Bill Of Materials (OBOM) structures.

Uses computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.

Uses PLM software including Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or SAP PLM.
Requirements:

Active interim Security Clearance required to start.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Minimum of 5 years of planning manufacturing work instruction experience or equivalent experience in manufacturing or engineering documentation development.

Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive work instructions related to one or more groups including machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB, or coatings.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other applicable references.

Instructional writing proficiency for work instructions.

Detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods or processes for aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles.

Experience using computer applications including SAP, MS Office, CAPP or SFM, and model-based engineering systems including Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, and 3DX.

Understanding of EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM structures.

Familiarity with CAD and CAE tools including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.

Familiarity with PLM software including Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or SAP PLM.
