Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialities in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, Operating Room. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. Daily tasks include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Critical to this role is strong communication and strong collaboration with patients, providers, and other members of our team. At least 2 years of experience and exceptional skill is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in various specialties including Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, and Operating Room.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Manage case loads and provide hospice care as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in multiple nursing specialties such as ICU, ER, or Operating Room.
• Advanced certifications related to nursing specialties.
• Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration in complex care settings.

Special Considerations:

• Work may involve hospice care requiring sensitivity to patients facing serious illness and end-of-life issues.
• Must be able to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environments.
• May require travel to patient homes or multiple care sites.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule may vary depending on care setting and patient needs.
• Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Flexibility to accommodate on-call or emergency situations may be necessary.
