About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with 22nd Century Healthcare, Inc. to find a qualified Psych Tech in Savannah, Georgia, 31401!

Duration: 03 months with possible extension

Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM and 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM (With every other weekend)

Job Description:

• Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills.
• May take vital signs.
• Answers clients call signals.
• Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.
• Bathes, grooms, shave and dresses clients.
• Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
• Ensures safety and security of clients.
• Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity.
• Prepares clients for treatment or examination.
• Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
• Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher.
• Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time.
