Maverick Currencies is hiring a Proprietary FX Trader based in Fremont, CA. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
If you're trading from Fremont, your local clock does most of the scheduling work for you. The Pacific time zone gives you the longest viable FX day in the US — the Asian close, the full European session, and the New York open all unfold through the morning, with peak liquidity hitting before lunch. Building a sustainable trading routine is half the battle for funded traders, and Fremont's schedule supports that.
Maverick Currencies operates on a performance-share model. Traders are paid a percentage of the profits they generate trading the firm's capital — 60% to 90% depending on tier. Realistic annual earnings for profitable traders range from $50,000 to $200,000+. There is no base salary, no hourly rate, and no guaranteed income; your compensation is a function of your trading results.
Q: How do you measure 'consistent'?
A: Consistency is measured across enough trades to be statistically meaningful — not over a lucky week or a bad week. Profit factor, win rate, drawdown discipline, and rule adherence all matter, and we review them on an ongoing cadence rather than as a one-shot evaluation.
Q: Are there sign-up bonuses or guaranteed earnings?
A: No. We don't offer sign-on bonuses, guaranteed minimums, or anything that resembles a salary floor. The model is honest about that — compensation is entirely tied to your trading results.
