Maverick Currencies is hiring a Day Trader — Forex & Crypto based in Downey, CA. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Downey-based traders share one of the cleanest setups in the country. The Pacific time zone gives you the longest viable FX day in the US — the Asian close, the full European session, and the New York open all unfold through the morning, with peak liquidity hitting before lunch. What you bring is the discipline; the location quietly takes care of the rest.
Pay is structured as a profit split on trading returns, not a salary. Profitable traders typically retain 60% to 90% of the gains they generate, with annual earnings landing between $50,000 and $200,000+ for those who maintain consistency. Traders who do not produce profitable results do not generate earnings under this model — it is a performance-based role in the most direct sense.
Q: Can I trade more than one strategy at once?
A: Once funded and consistent, traders can layer in additional strategies within the firm's risk framework. New traders should master one system before adding complexity — diluting your focus too early is one of the fastest ways to underperform.
Q: What's the most common reason traders fail out?
A: Discretionary deviation. Traders who follow the system get funded; traders who decide they know better than the system in the moment usually do not. We screen for coachability for that reason.
