Job Title: Complaints Technical Investigator
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are supporting a confidential client seeking a Complaints Technical Investigator to help evaluate returned products, document findings, and support investigation activities for clinical and commercial drug delivery devices. Our team is looking for a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to lab-based assessments, root cause analysis, and clear communication of results to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead evaluations of returned products, perform detailed assessments, and document findings in clear, timely reports.
• Support investigations through characterization testing, data gathering, analysis, and root cause analysis for mechanical and electromechanical products.
• Assist with lab infrastructure, including equipment setup, implementation, validation, operation, training, and procedure development.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and report results to management and cross-functional teams while maintaining the validity and integrity of assessment reports.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience performing complaints handling and failure analysis investigations within a medical device environment, specifically Class II or Class III devices.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a science field such as chemistry, physics, or biology strongly preferred; candidates with other educational backgrounds and robust laboratory experience may also be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities for regular internal updates.
• Must be local and able to commute onsite 3 days per week or more as needed, ideally residing within Los Angeles, Orange, or Ventura Counties.
• Experience in an ISO systems environment and familiarity with risk analysis processes and protocol/report writing.
