Dietary Aide

Job Summary:
At Onyx Care of Arcadia, we are dedicated to providing exceptional post-acute rehabilitation services to our patients. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our patients are met, while also contributing to a positive and supportive care environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and service of patient meals, including ensuring meal quality, presentation, and timeliness
• Maintain a clean and organized dietary department, adhering to infection control guidelines and regulatory standards
• Assist with menu planning and food ordering, as needed
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure dietary needs are met, including specialty diets and therapeutic meals
• Monitor and record patient food intake, identifying and reporting any trends or concerns
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in food services or healthcare preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
