Full-Time Professional Nanny (W-2) – San Marcos, TXW-2 Household Employee | San Marcos, TX (Private Residences)Compensation for Matron of Familyhood placements in the San Marcos area typically ranges from $25 to $38+ per hour, based on experience, credentials, schedule structure, and role scope. Final compensation is determined by the hiring family.About Matron of FamilyhoodMatron of Familyhood is a boutique placement agency focused on long-term, continuity-driven professional matches within private homes. Many families connect with us during pregnancy or early postpartum and transition into long-term nanny support as their needs evolve.We prioritize thoughtful introductions, professional standards, and stable placements.Nannies placed through Matron of Familyhood are employed directly by the hiring family as W-2 household employees. Matron of Familyhood is not the employer of record.Our Approach to ContinuityChildren benefit from stable, emotionally responsive care and predictable routines.Families in the San Marcos area often value:• Reliability and consistency• Clear and respectful communication• Age-appropriate engagement• Structured daily routines• Long-term stabilityMany households are seeking dependable full-time support with defined expectations.Our Professional StandardsWe regard nannying as a professional career and support employment practices that promote stability and transparency.We strongly encourage:• Guaranteed hours• Written employment agreements• Legal payroll practices (W-2 household employment)• Clear professional boundariesThese standards support sustainable and respectful working relationships.Who This Role Tends to FitThis opportunity is well suited for professionals who:• Have structured in-home childcare experience• View nannying as a long-term role• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents• Understand developmental milestones• Maintain reliability and strong work ethicProfessionals who succeed in our network value stability and clearly defined expectations.Required Qualifications• Minimum 3 years of paid, professional in-home childcare experience• Experience caring for infants and toddlers• Strong, verifiable professional references• Current Pediatric and Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification (must include in-person skills assessment)Preferred Qualifications• 4–5+ years of professional nanny experience• Experience supporting working parents• Background in early childhood education or related field• Commitment to ongoing professional developmentEmployment StructureAll nannies placed through Matron of Familyhood are employed directly by the hiring family as W-2 household employees.The hiring family serves as employer of record and is responsible for payroll, tax withholding, unemployment, workers' compensation (where applicable), supervision, and benefitspensation, schedule, guaranteed hours, and employment terms are negotiated directly between the nanny and family prior to hire.Matron of Familyhood facilitates introductions but does not supervise or employ nannies after placement.Screening ProcessOur screening process may include application review, interviews, professional reference checks, and background screening conducted with candidate consent and in accordance with applicable law. Final hiring decisions are made solely by the family.Work AuthorizationCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
