POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and passionate Line Cook with incredibly high standards to join the Elia Group team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions • Clean up station and take care of leftover food • Stock inventory appropriately • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
QUALIFICATIONS: • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks • Familiar with industry’s best practices • Culinary school diploma

The noise level in the work environment is typically high. • Stamina and Endurance: Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during shifts, often in fast-paced or busy environments. • Strength: Capability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as luggage, equipment, or cleaning supplies, typically weighing up to 50 pounds or more. • Manual Dexterity: Skill in handling a variety of tasks, such as cleaning, carrying items, or assisting guests with luggage. • Mobility: Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach in order to perform various tasks throughout the facility. • Good Hand-Eye Coordination: Necessary for tasks like chopping, slicing, plating, and working with hot or sharp kitchen tools safely. • Tolerating Heat: Comfort working in a hot environment, around stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers for extended periods. • Speed and Efficiency: While not purely physical, the ability to work quickly and stay focused during high-volume service is critical to the role. • Visual and Hearing Acuity: Ability to monitor food quality, kitchen safety, and communicate with fellow kitchen staff effectively.
