Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personalized care to patients in their homes or healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be adept at delivering high-quality nursing care tailored to individual patient needs. Duties
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and assessing health status.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
Perform phlebotomy procedures when necessary, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospitals or Level I Trauma Centers to develop and implement patient care plans.
Provide support for patients with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety during care.
Educate patients and families about health management, medication usage, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Assist in emergency medicine situations as needed, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical-surgical practices.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted CNA license in NY STate.
Experience in medical-surgical nursing or working within a hospital environment is preferred.
Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and practices is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and aseptic techniques is essential.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and patience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
