Job description

Make a positive impact as an Instructional Aide Substitute, providing vital 1:1 support for students in school settings near Shasta Lake, CA. Responsibilities:

  • Assist students individually or in small groups with academics, social skills, and daily routines as directed by school staff.
  • Help implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when applicable.
  • Supervise students to ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide mobility, transition, and personal care support as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and other school personnel to promote student success.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • TB test completed per district standards.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as necessary.
  • Willingness to obtain required clearances before starting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background working in schools, with special education, behavioral health, or child care.
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
  • Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required).
  • Approachability, patience, dependability, and teamwork.
