Paralegal with South Carolina Civil Litigation Experience

Position Details:

• Location: In person in Charleston, SC preferred (remote candidates - must be located in the state of South Carolina - will be considered if they have a strong skillset)
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1-3 years of South Carolina Civil Litigation experience; candidates with South Carolina Family Law experience will be given preference
• Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience, with performance-based bonus opportunities

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience in South Carolina Civil Litigation and familiarity with the South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Highly self-motivated with the discipline to work effectively from home for remote applicants.
• Clio proficiency preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote applicants.
• Able to track billable and non-billable time and record time accurately in our case management system

Compensation:

$63,000 - $78,000 yearly plus bonus opportunities

Responsibilities:

• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conducting legal research and gathering case-related information.
• Communicating professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Supporting attorneys in all aspects of family law cases.
• Effectively managing your correspondence, including timely responses to emails.
• Ability to document your time and activities thoroughly in our case management system.

Qualifications:

• Experience Required: Minimum of 1-3 years of South Carolina Civil Litigation experience.
