Job description
One of the leading manufacturing companies in the city of Murrieta is looking for a qualified Purchasing Supervisor who will be responsible for leading, coordinating, & prioritizing purchasing activities across multiple buyers & support roles in an industrial/manufacturing industry. This position ensures timely procurement of materials, services, MRO, & outside processing in support of production, quality, & operational goals. The Purchasing Supervisor acts as the primary escalation point for purchasing-related issues & ensures consistency, accuracy, & compliance across purchasing workflows. The Purchasing Supervisor provides functional oversight & guidance to Buyers I, Buyers II, & purchasing support personnel handling production materials, MRO, supplies, outside processing, & data/log management. Duties include: Providing daily direction, prioritization, & support to purchasing team; Balancing workloads across buyers to meet production & business needs; Serving as escalation point for purchasing, supplier, & internal issues; Providing backup coverage as needed to ensure continuity of operations; Maintaining compliance with internal purchasing procedures & work instructions; Overseeing & maintaining purchasing logs; Maintaining vendor database; Assisting with pricing visibility; Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency, accuracy, & cycle time; Supporting standardization & best practices across purchasing function. Required qualifications: Exp. in purchasing or procurement, within manufacturing environment; Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate purchasing team; Strong understanding of production purchasing, MRO, supplies, & outside processing; Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems & purchasing reports; Strong organizational, communication, & problem-solving skills; Leadership & team coordination skills; Exceptional Attention-to-detail & follow-through; Ability to manage multiple priorities; Strong analytical & reporting skills; Effective cross-functional communication; Competence with general computer skills & use of MS Office 365. Work Location: In person. Wage: $28.85-$38.95 hr. (#6.0331.219 – Wildomar)
