The Senior Benefits Administrator is responsible for administration and compliance of Company benefits programs, such as medical, dental, short/long term disability, vision, accidental death, and disability, 401(k), wellness and time off policies that align with Baxters North American, Inc. business objectives, culture, and philosophy of being an employer of choice. Informs and guides HR Team and/or employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions. Compiles and maintains benefits records and documentation. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a benefits related project. Must be an advocate for employees for HR department functions.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Completion of a Human Resources or Benefits Professional designation preferred.
Experience: 8+ years of HR administration related experience with supporting or administering benefits, compliance, and annual filings (5500, ACA, 401(k), COBRA, etc.) Strong ERISA compliance experience, including Health, Wellness and Retirement Programs required. Experience in communicating across all corporate levels, including top executives, is essential. HRIS experience supporting the benefits programs and experience with manufacturing practices is preferred.

Must demonstrate Customer Focus, Emotional Intelligence, Operational Excellence, Initiative, Work Quality, Communication, and Time Management skills.
Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting and continuous use of computer. May lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lbs.
