About the role

At Malvern Panalytical, we're shaping the future of materials science. As a global leader in analytical instrumentation, we help our customers make the invisible visible. We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Buyer/Planner to join our supply chain team and help us keep innovation moving.

What you will bring to the role

• Coordinating and executing procurement of raw materials, components, and subassemblies based on MRP requirements and production schedules.
• Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure purchased parts meet technical and compliance standards.
• Monitoring supplier performance and negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and schedules for cost-effective and reliable supply.
• Developing and maintaining supply plans to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing stockouts, excess, and obsolete inventory.
• Analyzing forecasts, sales trends, and historical data to drive smart purchasing and planning decisions.
• Resolving supply issues like shortages, delays, or quality concerns in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring ERP system data accuracy across purchase orders, pricing, lead times, and planning parameters.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts in sourcing, planning, and inventory management to reduce cost and enhance scalability.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 23 years of experience in a manufacturing or related industry
• ERP/MRP system experience (Expandable or SAP preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
