Location: Washington, DC

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 (Yearly)

Company: Polaris Campaigns

Job Description

Polaris is a Latino owned, progressive media strategy agency dedicated to providing innovative solutions to candidates and causes. We believe in building a collaborative environment where we can provide our expertise to our clients to best achieve their goals. We want to work with people who are bold enough to think differently and who hunger for knowledge.

Position: Client Services Associate

Department: Client Strategy

Reports to: Director of Client Strategy

Effective date: February 2026

Classification: FTE, hybrid in Washington, DC

Term: Temporary, with a set-end date in November 2026

This role is hybrid and the team is expected to work 10am-6pm EST with extended hours during the busiest part of the election season. This position will also be expected to be in-person at least one day per week. Other flexibility may be required as clients' needs shift.

Client Services Associate Overview:

Our small, dynamic media planning and buying agency is looking for an entry-level Client Services Associate to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of work experience who is eager to launch a career in client strategy and account management. This is a junior generalist position that will come with other duties as assigned.

The Client Services Associate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of client relationships, ensuring that our internal teams remain on schedule and that deliverables are met with precision. You will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Client Strategy and the rest of the Polaris team to ensure our clients achieve their marketing objectives.

A successful Polaris employee will:

  • Be dedicated to the success of Democratic and left-of-center causes and candidates: This person identifies with the ethics and philosophy of progressive and Democratic causes and understands the role that Polaris plays in advancing causes such as social justice, women's rights, workers' rights, freedom of expression and marginalized communities.

  • Work smart and hard: This person is passionate about building Polaris from the ground up, which means working smart and hard. This person thinks strategically about systems and understands that the way that things have been done in the past is not always the best or most efficient way of executing a task or project.

  • Take initiative: This person comes to the table with a proactive, problem solving mindset and is solutions oriented. This person can hold others accountable and contributes to a positive and healthy working environment where everyone is comfortable being themselves.

  • Be collaborative and communicative: This person has a track record of collaborating and communicating effectively within an organization. This includes collaborating across departments and areas of expertise, along with successful collaboration with external partners.

  • Be a subject matter expert: This person has prior expertise in their field and lends that expertise to the success of Polaris and all Polaris clients. This person believes in continuous learning and values the input of other subject matter experts on the Polaris team, along with external partner experts.

Client Services Associate Responsibilities:

  • Account Coordination: Maintain and update project timelines to ensure all campaign milestones are reached on schedule.

  • Team Accountability: Keep internal media and analytics teams on schedule by managing daily task lists and deadlines.

  • Project Management: Utilize software such as Asana or Monday.com to track project status and organize client deliverables.

  • Data Organization: Use spreadsheet software to track client budgets and reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.

  • Communication: Translate client needs into clear narratives for the internal team and assist in preparing client-facing reports and presentations.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned to support the Director of Client Strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Client Services Associate Qualifications:

  • Location: Must be based in the Washington DC area (DMV).

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional work experience or relevant internships in an account management or coordination role.

  • Software Proficiency: Exceptional proficiency with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets), including the use of pivot tables and data organization techniques.

  • Project Management Tools: Knowledge of or high interest in learning project management software like Asana or Monday.com.

  • Media Knowledge: Basic understanding of digital advertising metrics (CPM, CPC, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent initiative, communication and project management skills.

  • History of a strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in new and high-pressure situations.

  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Experience working in the progressive political sphere strongly preferred or a demonstrated interest in campaigns and causes

Client Services Associate Compensation:

  • $55,000 - $65,000 annually depending on experience

  • Employer sponsored healthcare, including 100% paid medical, 99% paid dental, 99% paid vision and 100% paid life insurances
