Medical Assistant Positions
We are looking for two full time Medical Assistants to join our team! Positions available at our Salmon Creek, WA clinic and Vancouver, WA clinic (Physician's Pavilion).
Rebound Medical Assistants are responsible for providing direct clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with minor procedures. You will facilitate efficient patient flow by coordinating schedules, managing communications, handling documentation, and processing follow-up appointments and diagnostic testing, and ensure accurate handling of specimens, availability of lab and imaging results, and maintains a clean, safe clinical environment in compliance with safety protocols.

The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, a superior commitment to patient care, and the ability to work closely with patients and physicians.
Responsibilities:

- Escort patients to the exam room and assist in chart documentation.
- Take vital signs and assist patients in patient flow through the clinic.
- Prepare exam rooms and instruments for examination and testing.
- Stock the exam rooms, injectable medication cabinet, ensure that all supplies are "in date" and stored according to manufacturer's directions.
- Coordinate communication with patient and providers including phone calls, message handling, and processing paperwork.
- Label, prepare, and maintain proper storage for specimens and tests. Ensure tests are picked up by lab personnel and obtain results.
- Ensure that lab reports, imaging, and other information are available to providers.
- Assist physicians and APP's with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed.
- Check appointment schedule and assist Call Center with physician's patient schedule.
- Dispense outpatient materials, assist in application and instructions on use per provider directions.
- Schedule patients for follow up appointments, ancillary tests, and procedures.
- Handle laundry, disinfect exam room and maintain sharps containers to comply with safety protocol.
- Attend required meetings and in-services and participate in committees as requested.
- Complete all required annual trainings prior to the deadline.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Perform related work as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or GED. Graduate from a Medical Assisting program or an accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program.
- Valid Washington State certification required if working in WA State, preferred if working in OR state; or current licensure as an LPN; current BLS Certification.
- One year of work experience as an MA, preferably in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment, including the ability to maintain quality control standards
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions, including communicating clearly.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds, and push patients in wheelchair with weights up to 300 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires ability to handle multiple demands at times.
- Occasional exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
- This position is required to be on site at assigned clinical locations 100% of the time.
- May need to travel between offices in Oregon and Washington.
