Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Strategic Emergency Management Planning Specialist to support an engagement for The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) within The Veteran's Health Administrations (VHA) that focuses on essential VA emergency medical response and support services at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure the health and safety of our Veteran patients and their families, staff, and visitors, and continued delivery of VHA health care services.

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide consulting support to facilitate the development and creation of a specific, measurable Three-Year Strategic Plan. The candidate shall lead the development of overarching objectives and strategic goals for The Office of Emergency Management and engage partners to achieve buy in, determine specific metrics and dependencies, and write the physical plan in a user-friendly manner appropriate for distribution.

Assist in developing mission and vision statements, subsequent goal delineation, provide guidance for building operational plans and specifying measurable outcomes, KPIs in a consolidated strategic planning process and prioritizes those initiatives.

Have a strong understanding of federal government business operations and work process

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent) plus approximately 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Experience managing the identification, formulation and prioritization of strategic initiatives by leveraging proficiency in strategy frameworks, soliciting inputs and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders;

Write the Office of Emergency Management Strategic Plan 2021-2023 and assist with "socializing" the plan with leadership, staff and stakeholders;

Coordinate with other agencies in the design and review of emergency management plans;

Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques needed to develop and support complex national emergency preparedness missions;

Mastery of advanced management and organizational principles for planning programming, budgeting regulations, guidelines and processes; expert oral and written communication skills;

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and support project teams and program managers and provide daily execution assigned work functions;

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;

Must have strong presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing to support a myriad of standard services required across the department.

Other Requirements

• Business Tools understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
