General Description
The Account Manager - Collections role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This position focuses on customer service and collection activities to reduce losses on pre-charge-off accounts, as well as accounts involving vehicle impounds, total losses, and collateral substitutions.
The Schedule will be Monday through Saturday with one day off Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
9am - 6pm Monday - Thursday, 9am - 7pm Friday, and 9am - 5pm Saturday
Key Responsibilities
Conduct customer service and collection efforts to minimize financial loss on assigned accounts
Communicate regularly with customers, repossession agents, internal departments, and external partners
Accurately document all customer interactions, collection activities, and payment commitments
Assist insurance adjusters by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to pending claim settlements
Proactively contact customers to negotiate payment arrangements or secure collateral
Manage both inbound and outbound calls, generated through manual dialing
Research, analyze, and resolve complex account issues in compliance with department policies and FDCPA regulations
Evaluate accounts to recommend repossession or abandonment of impounded vehicles based on cost versus value analysis
Apply advanced skip-tracing techniques and utilize available tools to locate and contact customers who are difficult to reach
Provide support to other departments as needed to meet business demands
