WGL is seeking a Strategic Sourcing And Specialist II to join our Supply Chain Management team. You will operate with moderate independence and support one or more senior Category Managers, with responsibility for ensuring our internal partners have the necessary goods and services needed to run the business effectively and efficiently and deliver value for our customers and stakeholders. This position requires a foundation in sourcing and contract management, with the ability to apply best practices across categories. The job responsibilities reflect a combination of independent contribution and collaborative support.

About the Job:

• Support development and execution of sourcing strategies in partnership with Category Managers.
• Manage tactical and strategic sourcing for spend categories assigned, including single vendor selection processes, and supporting more complex Request for Proposal (RFPs) with multiple bidders.
• Price, risk and value analysis.
• Negotiations, contracting, change order and general contract administration and management.
• Investigation and resolution of issues within the procure-to-pay (P2P) process.
• Supplier relationship management (SRM).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across business units to align sourcing decisions with broader company objectives.

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management focus preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (on-the-job training provided).
• Passion, interest and/or experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and SCM as a career.
• Ability to think analytically, listen, be curious and ask good questions.
• Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain good working relationships with teammates, business partners and supplier contacts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sourcing processes from planning through contract execution.
• Takes initiative, able to prioritize, manage their time, and support multiple projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to present to small groups.
• Excellent attention to details, notices inconsistencies and potential risks.
• A problem solver.

We offer a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $113,250 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
