Physical Therapy Assistant | Oklahoma City OK
$30-$35 per hour

Reports to the Rehabilitation Manager and/or supervising Physical Therapist.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides physical therapy treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist.
* Documents all treatments and services in the medical record.
* Participates in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
* Communicates resident progress, concerns, and plans with the interdisciplinary team.
* Participates in in-service and training programs.
* Completes daily treatment and productivity documentation per policy.
* Instructs families and staff on maintenance programs as directed.
* Assists with cleaning and maintaining the therapy department and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
* Current state license (if required).
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must meet health screening requirements, including drug testing and physical exam if required.
* Able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Frequent standing and walking.
* Occasional sitting, reaching, bending, lifting, and fine motor use.
* Ability to safely assist with transferring patients (100250 lbs.) as needed.
* Ability to see, hear, read, write, and communicate clearly.
* Occasional travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
* May be exposed to blood, body fluids, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.
* Moderate noise level typical of a healthcare setting.

* Document patient information, such as notes on their progress.
* Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress and provide results to physical therapist in person or through progress notes.
* Instruct patients in proper body mechanics and in ways to improve functional mobility, such as aquatic exercise.
* Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
* Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
