Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.

We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today's complex, global market. Clear Street's proprietary prime brokerage platform adds significant efficiency to the market, while focusing on minimizing risk, redundancy, and cost for clients. Our goal is to create a single source-of-truth platform for every asset class, in every country, and in any currency.

The Role

We are looking for a Client Onboarding Associate to join the Onboarding Team at Clear Street. In this role, you will primarily focus on performing KYC screenings and data management to support both the Onboarding and Business teams.

Requirements:

  • You have 2-3 years of experience in Client Onboarding, ideally within Equities Prime Brokerage, Futures Clearing, or Security-Based Swaps.
  • You are client focused and understand how to maintain relationships through various market cycles and product innovations.
  • You are a strong team player, open to feedback, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment across different teams and levels, operating autonomously when required and as a team player when working on strategic initiatives, project demands occur or workload increases.
  • You have a basic understanding of FINRA and SEC regulatory requirements related to customer onboarding in Prime Brokerage and Security-Based Swap Dealer environments.
  • You are familiar with the core Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements applicable to institutional clients such as hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading firms, and family offices. This includes exposure to BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and FinCEN regulations.
  • You have some experience assisting with KYC due diligence processes, including information gathering, initial risk assessments, and identifying issues for escalation under the guidance of senior team members.
  • You have been exposed to, or are willing to learn, how to use screening tools such as WorldCheck and CLEAR, and perform basic manual research tasks in order to perform full end to end KYC reports.
  • You are familiar with or open to learning how to conduct periodic KYC refreshes for existing clients, ensuring timely updates and continued compliance with regulatory standards.

We Offer:

The Base Salary Range for this role is $80,000-$110,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
