Job description

Warehouse Inventory Analyst

Sunco.com is a leading online lighting retailer headquartered in Valencia, CA. Thanks to our amazing and talented employees, we are proud to be one of the largest online lighting retailers in the US. We deeply value our collaborative, open, and people-first culture and are invested in making Sunco a positive place where our team members thrive every day. With our new state-of-the-art distribution center in Georgia, we continue to expand our reach and enhance our ability to serve our customers with excellence and efficiency. Join us and be part of a dynamic team that is lighting the way to a brighter future.

We light up the world, literally. Customers have chosen Sunco to provide millions of LED lights and trust us for our exceptional customer service, eco-conscious product expertise, and unmatched value.

Sunco is going through exciting growth and we are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Analyst to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with various stakeholders around the company (CA & GA) to maintain accurate inventory records for two warehouses, analyze inventory processes, and improve our overall inventory management system and processes. This role demands a proactive, analytical approach to solving complex inventory issues and optimizing warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the warehouse inventory.
  • Analyze data to identify and address defects in inventory processes, pinpoint causes and develop strategies to mitigate future issues.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Manage FIFO (First In, First Out) controls and oversee product versioning to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle returned goods, ensuring efficient processes are in place for inspection, sorting, and restocking or disposal.
  • Oversee supplies replenishment, repackaging, and rehabilitation processes, coordinating closely with the supply chain and inventory control teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Implement and maintain inventory trust and accuracy measures, including execution by the warehouse for effective inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Utilize ABC inventory analysis to strategically manage stock levels and optimize warehouse space.
  • Assist in the identification and segregation of nonconforming or suspect materials, supporting MRB processes and maintaining proper quarantine controls.
  • Identify errors and inefficiencies in inventory workflows and develop corrective actions to improve processes and reduce waste.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in inventory analysis or a similar role within a warehouse setting.
  • Certification in forklift operation and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and methodologies, including ABC inventory classification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed data analysis to understand and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a self-starter, with a keen eye for improving processes and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, capable of writing clear and comprehensive SOPs.
  • Experience in managing product versioning and returned goods in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with FIFO controls and the impact of inventory management on overall workflow.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Comprehensive Health and Wellness Coverage: Enjoy peace of mind with our extensive health insurance plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with Company Match: Secure your financial future with our 401(k) plan, featuring a competitive company match to help you save for retirement.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Take advantage of FSAs to manage out-of-pocket healthcare and dependent care expenses efficiently.
  • Time Off Policy: We believe in the importance of work-life balance and provide a generous time off policy, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Access confidential counseling and support services for personal and professional challenges.
  • Team Building Activities: Engage in weekly challenges, weekly Wellness Walks, regular team-building activities, and quarterly company outings to foster a strong sense of community.
