divh2Medical Assistant/h2pUnder general supervision, the Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care services, determining medical conditions, and preparing patients for examination and treatment under the direction of the Provider./ph3Essential Functions and Responsibilities:/h3ulliPrepare patients for examination, records vital signs and history, and provides treatment as applicable/liliPrepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures/liliPrepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders/liliCollect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs/liliDocument basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records/liliSchedule patients for tests, initial, and follow-up appointments if applicable in care setting/liliInstructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions/liliCollaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care/liliPhlebotomy/liliPerform opening/closing clinic duties and patient call backs/liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/ulh3Skills and Requirements:/h3ulliTrained in FormFox / updates/liliUrinalysis/liliPerform other duties as assigned/liliHold a certificate and perform drug screens and BAT (for Occ Med Hub Clinics/liliPositive Breath Alcohol Protocol/liliNon-Negative quick screen protocol/liliUnacceptable DS Protocol/liliUrinalysis spin/liliPrepare patients for examination, records vital signs./liliEnsure all paperwork is completed properly/liliAssisting patient transfer from bed/x-ray table to and from wheelchair/liliPulmonary Function Test/liliRespirator Fit Test Qualitative/Quantitative/liliRespiratory Clearance only/liliPaperwork completion for the following physicals: CDL, Routine, USCG, Hazmat, Crane Operator, OGUK/liliPrepares exam/treatment rooms; maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures/liliPerform QC checks on equipment and testing supplies/liliCan serve as a resource when other staff members have questions/li/ulh3Requirements and Qualifications:/h3ulliEducation: High school graduate or equivalent is required./liliCertificate/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following programs is preferred (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA). Current BLS certification is required./liliExperience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant Occupational Medicine experience is preferred/li/ul/div
