Medical Assistant Kidney Clinic | Oklahoma City, OK Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (not required)
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Medical Assistant Kidney Clinic | Oklahoma City, OK Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support providers in a busy and growing kidney clinic. This role is responsible for patient intake, clinical support, documentation in EPIC, and assisting with both clinical and front office workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Document medical history, medications, and vitals in EPIC
- Administer injections and assist with lab draws
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-ups
- Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms
- Support patient scheduling and check-in/check-out as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assist providers with daily clinical workflow

- Strong EPIC proficiency

* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
