Principal duties include selling loan products offered by NewRez, contacting prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources, meeting with prospective clients at outside locations, making in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads, engaging in marketing and promotional activities in support of your own sales, meeting monthly minimum personal production goals, taking mortgage loan applications and preparing effective loan proposals, determining a consumer's needs and offering the appropriate product, originating loans for appropriate amounts, rates, and terms that comply with NewRez's program guidelines, providing consumers with a superior level of customer service, quickly and accurately answering all customer inquiries in a professional manner, obtaining all information deemed necessary to process loan requests in a timely manner, including but not limited to credit reports, income verification, appraisals, lien searches, etc. Analyzing the information and providing insight where appropriate, providing assistance to applicants and solving all problems that may arise between application and settlement, staying informed of developing trends in the mortgage industry, attending/assisting with scheduled meetings, training sessions and courses, maintaining compliance with all industry-specific federal and state licensed activity requirements and NewRez Code of Conduct.
Principal customers of the position include internal customers: underwriting, processing, closing, quality assurance, vendor coordination, and secondary marketing, and external customer: the borrower(s).
Education and experience requirements include qualifying for and obtaining state licensure in the states where NewRez does business; mortgage licensure requires a good credit score, no tax liens and a clean criminal background check, minimum successful 1 year mortgage loan origination experience, 2 year college degree preferred (or equivalent experience), proven sales skills and leadership abilities.
Knowledge, skill and ability requirements include ability to quickly connect with people in an outgoing, friendly manner, persuasive, selling communication skills, strong sense of responsibility for completing work quickly and accurately, ability to handle faster-than-average pace of activities, detail-orientation with efficient focus on work activities, careful decision-making skill with ability to avoid mistakes, ability to delegate in a positive style with thorough follow up skills, excellent oral, written, listening, and organizational skills, basic computer skills, ability to work independently.
A good faith estimate of the compensation is: 15,080.00 - 60,000.00. Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, etc.
