Talent Acquisition Specialist
Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee! SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist.
This position leads full-cycle talent acquisition activities while leveraging workforce data to inform strategic people decisions. This role drives efficient, high-quality hiring outcomes throughout the recruitment processes. In parallel, this position partners closely with HR leadership and business leaders to analyze workforce trends, develop actionable insights, and translate data into talent strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand needs, develop recruitment strategies, and drive timely hiring decisions.
- Utilize recruiting metrics and data insights to optimize sourcing channels, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes.
- Identify external recruitment channels, vendors, and partnerships to enhance talent pipelines.
- Drive a positive candidate experience through proactive communication, process efficiency, and professional representation of the organization.
- Maintain accurate and compliant candidate data within the applicant tracking system.
- Monitor and report on recruitment KPIs.
Data Analytics
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR and talent acquisition data, including hiring metrics, time-to-fill, and workforce trends.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and recurring reports that provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner with HR leadership to enhance ATS system configuration, and reporting capabilities to improve recruiting effectiveness.
General HR Duties
- Serve as a resource for employee inquiries.
- Work Collaboratively with HR team on key initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day support to the HR team as needed.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human resources, or related field required; experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: 3-5 years in talent acquisition or related HR functions required, 5+ years experience in talent acquisition or related HR functions preferred.
