Personnel Security Processor
Akima Global Technology (AGT), an Akima company, is looking to hire a Personnel Security Processor to support their DoE client in Albuquerque, NM. This position performs work in support of human resource professionals that requires a good working knowledge of personnel procedures, guides, and precedents.
Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, obtaining references, recommending placement in a well-defined occupation, identifying potential issues and grievance procedures, documenting necessary information to avoid company threat, making recommendations to human resource professionals on job classification, wage rates, and employee salaries, using computers for organizational and reporting purposes, performing some clerical work, reviewing completed work against stated objectives, documenting security clearance actions in automated databases, obtaining information required to continue clearance actions, taking action on a file that might impact an individual's eligibility or continued eligibility for access authorization, processing work in the priority order established by management, retrieving specific files directly from vault storage, screening information to determine the required actions, keeping management apprised of workload status.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, US Citizenship, ability to pass and obtain a DOE Q Level clearance, sufficient data entry skills, 3+ years of typing and word processing skills, effective reading comprehension and detail recognition skills, good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to recognize designated priorities, ability to understand and work with office specific filing system, limited decision-making skills, ability to exercise sound judgment, ability to annotate files in a professional manner, ability to screen and identify the appropriate information for forwarding, ability to work multiple types of clearance actions without losing track of designated priorities, ability to attain a DOE Q Level Clearance. Active DOE Q Level clearance is highly desired.
