Fuel Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Fuel Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing and overseeing various accounting tasks related to fuel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. The position offers exposure to multiple aspects of accounting, providing an opportunity for career growth within a renowned organization.
Responsibilities
- Research, prepare, and submit weekly import lifting files.
- Analyze and accurately key intercompany corrections daily.
- Monitor and update the department misloads spreadsheet.
- Communicate daily with various departments and vendors.
- Prepare and submit other entries as assigned, adhering to due dates.
- Review account activity prior to month-end close to identify and resolve issues.
- Enter external sales upon request from Operations.
- Review and follow up on payments due from vendors.
- Assist and back up other team Staff Accountant with any tasks requested.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in debits, credits, research, reconciliation, invoice processing, accounts payable, purchase order, and way match.
- Entry-level accounting skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel and Outlook.
The role is based within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, typically found in retail settings. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
