This role is ideal for a professional with foundational experience in total rewards who is looking to deepen their expertise across both disciplines in a collaborative and evolving environment. The Specialist will contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of our compensation and benefits programs while also assisting with special projects that support the broader goals of the Performance, Reward Mobility team. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to continuously improving how we attract, retain, and reward talent across AGA./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3pCompensation/pulliAssist in the job evaluation process by reviewing job descriptions, analyzing job content, and market pricing analysis./liliParticipate in compensation benchmarking and survey submissions (e.g., Mercer, WTW, Aon); review results to identify market trends and support pay positioning recommendations./liliContribute to annual compensation processes, including budget modeling, salary structure updates, and pay-for-performance analysis./liliSupport internal equity and external competitiveness analysis by compiling and analyzing compensation data across countries, functions, and job levels./liliMonitor compensation-related legislation and emerging trends; assist in evaluating implications for internal practices and policies./liliAssist with the analysis and recommendation on compensation guidance for new hire offers, promotions, and internal transfers./liliAssist with the preparation of compensation-related reports and presentations as needed./li/ulpBenefits/pulliAssist with the administration of US employee benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, wellness initiatives, leave of absence programs, and other ancillary offerings./liliCoordinate benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations while ensuring accurate data entry across internal systems and vendor platforms./liliMaintain benefit records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements./liliReconcile monthly benefit invoices and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors./liliAssist in the preparation and distribution of benefits-related communications such as enrollment guides, orientation materials, and policy updates./liliConduct benefits orientations and assist in training sessions for new hires and existing employees./liliMonitor regulatory developments (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal processes./liliGenerate and analyze benefits-related reports to identify trends, support decision-making, and recommend improvements./li/ulh3Basic Qualifications/h3pBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field/ppMinimum of 3 years of experience in benefits and compensation plans or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience/ppProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis/ppStrong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and the ability to work independently and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion/ppAbility to work cross-functionally to partner on projects and activities tied to key business objectives/ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3pExperience in the mining, natural resources, or a similarly structured global industry/ppCertified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), or a similar credential preferred/ppFamiliarity with HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors) and tools used to support compensation and benefits administration (e.g., CompTool, MarketPay, benefits platforms)/ppExposure to compensation and/or benefits processes within a publicly traded or highly regulated company, with an understanding of general compliance and reporting practices/ph3Key Competencies Skills/h3pAnalytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights across compensation and benefits./ppAttention to Detail: Ensures data accuracy and integrity in all aspects of work, especially in audit, compliance, and reporting tasks./ppCollaboration: Works effectively across functions, building relationships with internal stakeholders, HR partners, and external vendors./ppCommunication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information clearly to various audiences./ppDiscretion Integrity: Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee data and handles information with professionalism./ppAdaptability: Comfortable working in a changing environment and open to learning new tools, processes, or approaches./ppProblem-Solving: Uses sound judgment to troubleshoot issues and recommend practical solutions./ppCompensation: $100,000 - $130,000/ppAngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) offers a competitive benefits package to include company paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays.
