HR Tech
The University of New Mexico School of Law seeks a diligent individual to fill the role of HR Tech (working title: Law School HR Coordinator). This position will report to the Assistant Dean for Administrative Operations and will serve as an important member of the Law School HR team. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent organizational skills, high reliability, strict adherence to confidentiality on personnel matters, knowledge of UNM HR transactions and systems such as UNMJobs and Banner, and an ability to work productively both independently and as part of a small team.
Main duties include: Coordinates and administers a wide range of daily HR support activities and transactions for the Law School, including: coordinates and originates staff and student employment transactions related to hires and separations, EPAN and EPAF personnel updates, supervisor and manager updates, and creation of Salary Equity and Placement Tool (SPET) documents; provides administrative support to hiring managers on job postings, searches, interviews and hiring processes; reviews and verifies incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with UNM HR established policies and procedures; stays abreast of UNM HR procedural changes and requirements; ensures compliance with UNM HR documentation processes and maintains departmental HR files and recordkeeping; assists with department employee on-boarding and off-boarding activities; may also assist with or provide back-up support for other personnel activities and administrative areas such as graduate assistantships and payroll.

Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:- Proficiency in MS Office365 - Excellent organizational skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Experience in UNM HR processes related to staff and student employment - Knowledge of UNM systems such as UNMJobs, HR Reports in Banner, and SmartSheets - Experience working on confidential matters and management of personnel documentation
