This job is a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team within the Finance Division. Responsible for driving financial analysis of strategic projects along with evaluating industry trends and competitive results.
What you'll do:
- Identifies opportunities for financial and operational improvement and leads cross-departmental teams to initiate change
- Provides industry benchmarking reporting and analysis
- Provides ad hoc support to various Commercial and Finance groups, often working as an internal consultant
- Maintains a comprehensive database of industry financial results, and deliver competitive insights that assist management in developing or altering strategic and financial objective
- Assists in development of executive and Board level presentation materials
- Maintains a positive relationship with internal finance, commercial, and operational groups to provide analytical insights and support strategic decisions across business units
All you'll need for success:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- Previous strategic financial analysis experience creating or working on complex models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education & Prior Job Experience: Master of Business Administration
- Prior experience within airline industry with experience in Commercial, Operations, and/or Finance
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
- Ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership skills
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a variety of demanding situations
- Ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues using an analytical framework, and develop creative solutions to business challenges
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, with financial modeling and analysis experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SQL and Access skills
