Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for all activities associated with product receiving and distribution. The Lead will plan, oversee daily warehouse operations, training staff, ensuring a productive workflow throughout the warehouse, act as the liaison between management and the warehouse team. This position will work Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm.
1. Responsible for day-to-day warehouse activities, coordinates workflow and motivates team.
2. Ensure all warehousing activities including order selection, receiving, replenishment of (dry, cooler, freezer), loading of donations and other materials are conducted safely, efficiently and effectively.
3. Perform inventory controls, replenishment reports and drops, printing of pick tickets and pallet labels.
4. Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and workstations neat; maintain clean warehouse supply areas; complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
5. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
6. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education GED or High school diploma
Experience 3 to 5 years of Warehouse Lead experience preferred A minimum of 1 year lead experience required.
Required Skills & Other Abilities
- Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery.
- Work productively with frequent interruptions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with departmental colleagues, other organizational units, and customers.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and previous experience working with Agility and/or Macola programs preferred.
