Job description

Human Resources Generalist

Minco is a global provider of thermal solutions, temperature sensing and control, and flex circuit solutions for medical, aerospace, defense, oil and gas, power generation, and other high-reliability applications. Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assignments, including but not limited to, staffing, organizational and employee development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and rewards & recognition
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Assist with performance appraisal, behavior correction, and employee development
  • Participate in the sourcing, interviewing, and selection of talent
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strong employee and leadership development programs across the organization
  • Conduct job market research, pay surveys, and compensation assessments
  • Advise senior leadership team on total compensation (salary/wage/benefits), and recommend changes/updates
  • Ensure a positive employee work environment through strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Represent the company as a visible, approachable, and professional HR practitioner; foster employee engagement and address and/or escalate issues to the next level of management for assisted resolution
  • Work closely with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee relations concerns in a timely, consistent, and responsive manner
  • Respond to complex questions and concerns from employees regarding human resources programs and services; resolve questions and concerns, and work with management regarding sensitive or potential issues
  • Manage and coordinate performance management processes
  • Ensure job descriptions and career paths are evaluated and updated regularly
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide reports and analysis for program development and modification
  • Implement and communicate HR procedures
  • Coordinate employee benefits and assistance programs, as well as handle related inquiries
  • Assist with corporate compliance programs, including, but not limited to, EEO and OSHA reporting requirements
  • Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience in Human Resources or any related field
  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices
  • Be able to work independently as well as be part of a team
  • Experience responding to and resolving employee questions and concerns
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with full HR life cycle competencies, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, training, and development.
  • Ability to develop and provide training on various HR topics (i.e., Performance Management, Effective Interviewing Skills, Respect in the Workplace, etc.)
  • Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable Federal & State laws, rules, and regulations
  • Proficient Computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), HRIS (i.e., Dayforce), ATS (i.e., ICIMs), etc.

Professional Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships with employees and management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact
  • Strong experience providing consultation and advice on a variety of human resources issues
  • Good project management, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement and implementation of best practices throughout all aspects of the HR life cycle.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic working environment.
  • Demonstrates empathy and strong interpersonal communication
  • High level of professionalism and integrity

This position is a regular full-time on-site position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.

Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually
