The primary function of the Staff Accountant includes balancing, processing, and posting of daily revenues as needed, maintaining and posting journal entries, backing up accounts payable functions, and assisting with the period-end procedures. This position requires the candidate to analyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure financial information is readily available and accurate.
Additional functions include balancing and reconciling tax accounts for our portfolio of centralized hotels, completing tax filings, including on-line payments and checks, ensuring all proper documentation is received from the hotels for tax exemptions, and working with the Controllers on all tax related matters.
The Staff Accountant will monitor and coordinate the timely implementation and maintenance of information flow from/to the hotels. Ensure smooth operations by training and resolving issues in the accounting processes.

Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience: High school diploma and three (3) years of related hotel accounting experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge and abilities. Experience working with both branded and independent hotels and resorts is preferable.
