Burnt is building an agentic OS to replace legacy ERPs and automate how supply chain companies operate. We're starting with the food industrya $1T+ sector that's been underserved by modern softwareand building vertically integrated AI agents that take over the manual, repetitive work ERPs were supposed to solve. Our first product replaces the entire order management team at food distribution companies. Instead of emails, texts, and voicemails being manually keyed into ERPs, our agent understands every customer's habits, shorthand, and preferencesand turns messy inbound communication into structured, ERP-ready orders in seconds. We're a group of extremely competitive people and run through walls day in day out for our customers.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a scrappy Operations Associate to become one of our earliest hires. This is a generalist role where you'll do a bit of everything customer onboarding, success, sales, internal process buildingand figure out how to make the company run faster. You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team, shaping both our day-to-day execution and our long-term direction. The Challenges You'll Solve

• Onboard customers and make sure they're successful from day one
• Jump into sales calls and demos to help us close deals and grow
• Build processes, tools, and systems from scratch to keep the company moving fast
• Serve as the bridge between customers and product, surfacing insights and feedback
• Take work off the founders' plates, owning projects end-to-end in a fast-moving environment

About You:

Core Requirements

• 13 years of experience in startups, operations, consulting, customer success, or sales
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets you can build advanced models, dashboards, and workflows
• Comfort with technical problem-solving: able to vibe code using AI-native tools like Lovable, v0, Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, or similar to spin up internal tooling and lightweight automations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills you can take a messy challenge and structure a clear solution
• Hands-on experience managing projects end-to-end with clear accountability for outcomes
• Excellent communication skills across customers, founders, and teammates

Bonus

• Prior experience building internal tools or workflows using AI coding assistants
• Familiarity with APIs, SQL, or basic scripting (Python/JavaScript) for quick problem-solving
• Exposure to food, supply chain, or B2B SaaS industries
• Experience designing processes and scaling workflows from scratch
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you're excited to own projects independently and grow with the company
• Track record of going beyond your job description in a startup or small team

Competitive Salary Start-up equity - 0.10%-0.50% Flexible PTO

Salary Range Details The compensation range for this position is set between $50,000 and $75,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
