In this role you will lead a team of dedicated platform engineers as we strategically migrate our data assets to the cloud. As a Manager on the Data Platform Team, you will report to the Director of Data Platforms and work closely with the Chief Data Office organization to influence the business and technology strategies for the company.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree 7+ years of experience as a technology manager for data warehouse teamsPreferred Qualifications
7+ years in an IT environment Experience implementing cloud and enterprise data solutions Proficiency in AWS data technologies such as Lambda, S3, EC2, IAM rules. Able to work cross functionally and discuss technical concepts with both technical and nontechnical audiences of varying seniority Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to build and manage a high-performing team, work with partners to set and meet business service level agreement levels, plan and deliver work to expectations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with developers, analysts and business colleagues throughout the organization. Knowledge and experience with DevOps practices, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code 5+ years using ETL / data movement tools (AWS Glue, Infomatica, IBM Infosphere ) Experience in one or more programming language (Python, Java, Scala, C/C++) Ability to evaluate, prototype and recommend emerging Cloud data technologies and platforms from open source or vendors.
