Investor Relations Associate
Scout Energy Partners is a leading private energy investment firm focused on the acquisition and operation of upstream energy assets and associated midstream infrastructure on behalf of institutional investors. Scout currently manages approximately $2 billion in investor commitments across five flagship investment funds. Scout Energy Partners is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to work with the Investor Relations team. Scout offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the institutional investment management business and the energy & real assets business. The selected candidate will work closely with Scout's Principal of Investor Relations and the founding Partners of the firm. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with fund and asset finance, operations, and marketing teams across the company. You will have exposure to all of Scout's existing and prospective investors, which include some of the most elite and thought-leading institutions in the world. This position is designed to provide high visibility to Scout's investors and General Partner in a role that will have a profound impact on the firm. You will immerse yourself in industry knowledge, distilling vast amounts of information in a complicated and fast-paced environment. You will have immediate responsibilities that are not available in similar roles at larger firms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing investor correspondence
Building relationships with new investors
Facilitating due diligence processes
Updating investor documents including quarterly and annual performance reporting
Scheduling and meeting with investors
Strategizing around marketing campaigns for existing and future investment funds
Skills & Specifications

History of strong academic performance and attention to detail
Demonstrated analytical abilities and keen interest in investment management, energy, business and entrepreneurship
Strong interpersonal & communication skills with the capacity to interact with investors, prospects and personnel across all levels within the firm
Proactive, well organized, and adept at managing competing deadlines and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
Travel flexibility is required; this role will require semi-frequent travel to most major domestic markets (New York, Boston, Chicago, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, San Francisco, Upper West Coast)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience at an investment firm, private equity fund, asset manager, investment bank, or corporate bank (energy experience preferred but not required)
