Additionally, we provide you an opportunity to work with a team of committed individuals, where you are supported and given every chance to succeed.Title/Position: Training SpecialistStatus: Exempt Department: Legal DepartmentEmployment Type: Full-Time Position Location: Los Angeles, CA/Hybrid Summary of PositionThe Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the production, presentation, coordination, and maintenance of CAST delivered trainings within Los Angeles County on the topics of minors and youth impacted by human trafficking which includes sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and forced criminality through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This training program ensures alignment with Los Angeles County's Five-Year Strategic Plan that aligns with public health principles and integrated lived experience perspectives. This position plays a key role training social workers, probation, law enforcement, mental health, public health, educators, and community-based organizations in the development and implementation of trauma-informed best practice approaches when working with youth, including but not limited to, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and resilience building strategies. Survivors are encouraged to applyThis position includes but is not limited to the following:Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide overall support to ensure the production of trainingsConduct and compile research materialsCo-create training curriculumsDeliver training sessions in collaboration with team membersAttend training program team meetings, debriefs, and check-insMonitor Zoom trainings – Open trainings, monitor & respond in chat, assist trainer/s with logins, breakout rooms, close out, debrief, and provide other Zoom technical needs as necessaryCreate and update trainings on QuickbaseCreate and maintain training attendee reports on ExcelProcess Certificates of Completion, CEUs, and NEUs via QuickbaseRun attendance and other demographic reports as neededRespond to inquiries from dedicated HT training support emailMaintain training calendar updatesCreate and update surveys on Survey MonkeyPrepare and submit housekeeping/preamble slides & survey links/QR codes to subcontractor's 2 days prior to their scheduled trainings. Debrief and follow-ups with subcontractors as needed.Copy and FedEx monthly documents to LA County Other tasks as designated by Training DirectorCreate training announcement flyers in CanvaRequirementsA minimum of five (5) years of experience providing services to, or delivering training related to, survivors of human trafficking, including minors and transition-age-youth.Five (5) years of experience delivering and supporting training programsProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelProficiency with CanvaHighly organizedStrong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent coordination skillsFamiliar with Zoom meetings and webinar platformsBased in Los Angeles, CAAbility to work from CAST office when necessary Ability to ensure training attendance through follow-up and outreach Familiar with adult learning modelsAbility to maintain confidentiality in all spacesOther tasks as designated by Training Director Ability to problem solve, be proactive, own outcomes, and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills with a focus on team successDemonstrates empathy and strong communication skills when working with diverse team membersFosters a positive, collaborative environment, and contributes to collective goalsCompensationSalary is commensurate with experience.
