The primary role of the Director of Club Services is to step in as interim Club leadership during vacancies, parental/medical leaves, vacations, and extenuating circumstances. When all Club sites are fully staffed, this role pivots to driving system-wide capacity, leading targeted site improvement projects, developing innovative programming, and leading the ongoing professional development of BGCSF's Assistant Directors and Art Directors.

• Serve as Interim Club Leadership Step in as acting Club Director during leadership vacancies or planned absences; manage daily operations, enrollment, attendance, budgeting, payroll, and facility needs.
• Supervise & Develop Direct Reports Supervise up to 5 program staff during site coverage, facilitating weekly team meetings, conducting 1:1s, managing performance reviews, and supporting staff development.
• Oversee Assistant Directors & Art Directors Lead weekly meetings, annual retreats, coaching, and training for Assistant Clubhouse/Site Directors, while convening the citywide Art Director group for monthly meetings, program observations, and initiative alignment.
• Drive Program Innovation & Best Practices Cultivate, pilot, and implement new innovative program models; serve as the liaison between Club sites and Program Services.
• Lead Target Improvement Projects Support fully-staffed Clubs with targeted capacity-building projects to improve attendance, staff morale, operational systems, or program quality.
• Maintain Safety & Risk Management Enforce BGCSF safety policies, manage daily operational risks, ensure digital citizenship/online safety best practices, and maintain a safe, positive environment for youth and staff.
• Represent BGCSF Externally Represent the Club at school, partner, and community meetings, ensuring strong external relationships and smooth leadership transitions when onboarding new staff.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Human Services, or related field OR 7+ years of experience managing youth and staff in a non-profit setting. Proven experience in program and leadership development, ideally within an educational or youth-focused environment. Strong positive behavior management, prevention, and disciplinary skills with youth. Effective oral and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders, staff, and families. Demonstrated knowledge of online safety issues affecting youth and digital citizenship best practices. Experience managing external partnerships and organizational relationships. Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).

• Ability to analyze data to inform operational decisions, student achievement, and program quality
• Experience with curriculum development and leading innovative program models
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a 10-passenger vehicle
• Self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills, detailed work plans, and creative problem-solving abilities

Must be able to lift 15 lbs. (25 lbs. during direct service duties). Must be able to stand for at least 1 hour consecutively (2 hours during direct service duties). Must be able to stoop and crouch. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

The salary range for this position is $90,000$95,000 annual. Final compensation is determined based on a range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. Candidates may be hired at the entry, mid, or senior level of the range depending on qualifications and position requirements.

As part of the hiring process, BGCSF requires candidates to complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
